Terms of Sale
Last updated: 28 September 2026
These terms apply when you buy You Will Hear Me Speak direct from this website. Please read them before you pay. Using the rest of this website is covered by our Terms of Use.
Who you are buying from
- Seller: Gary Clark
- Address: 23 Galloway Street, Falkirk, FK1 1LB, United Kingdom
- Email: gary.clarkauthor2026@gmail.com
Every order is packed and posted by Gary himself.
Price and payment
The price of the book and the postage are shown in the order panel before you pay, and again on the payment page. There are no other charges.
Postage is charged once per order, however many copies you buy: £4.00 to an address in the UK and £8.80 to an address outside the UK.
Orders placed before midnight (UK time) on 31 October 2026 are charged the pre-order price shown on the website. From 1 November 2026 the full price applies. Whichever price was shown when you paid is the price you pay.
If you order 10 copies in one order you pay for 9. For more than 10 copies, email us and we will agree a price and postage with you.
Payment is taken by card through SumUp, on SumUp’s secure payment page. We never see or store your card details. Payment is taken in full when you place your order, including for pre-orders.
Your order
Our contract with you starts when your payment goes through. You will see a confirmation page and we will email you a receipt with your order reference.
If we cannot supply the book for any reason, we will tell you as soon as we can and refund you in full.
Pre-orders
If you order before the book is published, your order is a pre-order. It is charged when you place it and posted as soon as the printed copies reach us. The book is due to be published in November 2026.
You can cancel a pre-order at any time before it is posted and get a full refund. Email us with your order reference.
Delivery
Orders to UK addresses are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48 and usually arrive within 3 to 5 days of being posted. You will be able to track the parcel with Royal Mail.
Orders to addresses outside the UK are sent by Royal Mail International Standard. This service is not tracked, and delivery times vary by country. Any customs charges or import taxes due in your country are your responsibility.
Unless we have agreed a different time with you, we will deliver within 30 days of your order, or within 30 days of publication for a pre-order. If we cannot, we will tell you, and you can cancel for a full refund.
The book is your responsibility once it has been delivered to the address you gave us.
Changing your mind
You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive the book. You do not need to give a reason.
To cancel, email us with your name and order reference, saying that you want to cancel. You can use the form at the end of this page, but you do not have to.
Please post the book back to the address above within 14 days of telling us. We will refund what you paid, including the original postage, and we will also refund what it cost you to post the book back at the standard rate. The refund is made within 14 days of receiving the book back, or of you showing us proof that you posted it, whichever is sooner, and goes back to the card you paid with. If the book comes back damaged because it was handled more than was needed to look at it, we may reduce the refund to reflect that.
If your book arrives damaged or faulty
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the book must be as described and of satisfactory quality. If it arrives damaged, has pages missing or is faulty in another way, email us within 30 days of receiving it and we will offer a replacement or a full refund, including postage. After 30 days you still have rights, and we will put things right if the fault was there when it arrived.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
How your order details are used
When you order, we collect your name, email address, postal address, phone number if you give one, and what you ordered. Gary Clark is responsible for this information (the data controller).
- Why: to take your payment, post your book, send your receipt and contact you about your order. Our legal basis is that we need it to carry out our contract with you. We also keep order records because the law requires us to keep financial records.
- Who else handles it: SumUp, which processes your payment and holds your card details under its own privacy notice; FreshWeb, which built and runs this website and its order system on our behalf, storing order details on Cloudflare; Resend, which sends the order emails; and Royal Mail, which delivers your book.
- How long we keep it: order records are kept for six years, because financial records must be kept that long. After that they are deleted.
- Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by emailing us. Some records we must keep by law. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them with anyone else. How the rest of this website uses information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. If you live outside the UK, you may also have rights under the law of your own country, and nothing in these terms takes those away.
